Jeg snakker ikke Norsk

Back from my second trip to Norge. Started out in Bergen and then went up to the Arctic Circle - Tromsø, to be precise. It would take hours to write about all of the unforgettable sights that were seen, all the regal feasts that were eaten, and all the good times that were had, so I hope the pictures do most of the talking.

The midnight sun.

Sognefjord.

Beate, Ian, Guro, Eirik, and Borghild in Bergen's old town.

Great Uncle Ian Dobie.

A view from Stalheim (part of our Norway in a Nutshell trip).

With Ian at Stalheim.

A waterfall in the Sognefjord.

At the Flåm station.

Out for coffee with Borghild.

Looking over Tromsø at midnight.

First night in Tromsø. Edgar and I hiked to Rækoika at 1am.

Edgar and dog at Rækoika.

Fishing in the Kaldfjord under the midnight sun. I caught six very tasty fish.

Edgar and a friend in a traditional Norwegian cabin on the Kaldfjord.

Our boat on the Kaldfjord.

With Edgar at a modern art museum.

A sculpture of a fish drying rack.

Tromsdalen Kirke, aka The Arctic Cathedral (aka Ishavskatedralen) in Tromsø.

Edgar with Tromsø as a backdrop.

I ate whale meat for the first time, so Edgar thought a picture by a harpoon was apropos (Polarmuseet in background).
